AIMEE'S SOUTHERN TAPAS - BACON WRAPPED CHICKENETTES
This is a great appetizer to serve at parties or football tailgating or just a "Southern Tapas" dish!
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small bites
- 1 pound bacon (I love to use a maple flavored bacon for this), cut in half crosswise
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ Tablespoons chili powder
Preheat oven to 300. In a bowl, stir brown sugar and chili powder together. Wrap each bite-sized piece of chicken with a bacon slice. Secure with a toothpick, and roll in sugar mixture. Line your cookie sheet with foil, and lightly spray the foil, so the chicken bites will not stick. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp.
