AIMEE'S HOMEMADE CARAMEL APPLE SPICE
These are wonderfully delicious at coffee shops, but after one sip, I had to wonder, "How many apple pies did they have to kill to make this?" This is my version, which is just as delicious and waaaaay less sugar:
Makes 1 serving
- 1 cup apple juice, heated
- 2 Tablespoons cinnamon simple syrup (recipe below)
- homemade whipped cream
- caramel sauce
Heat apple juice in a mug, then add 2 Tablespoons cinnamon syrup to mixture, stirring to combine. Top with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
AIMEE'S CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
In a sauce pot over medium heat, melt the brown sugar into the water. Add cinnamon and stir. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in a mason jar in the refrigerator.
