• 1 bag of good quality chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tangerine (or orange) peel, only
  • 1 Tablespoon Orange Whipped Vodka (I use Pinnacle)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Place chocolate chips in a heat-proof bowl. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and orange or tangerine peel just until almost boiling. Remove from heat and pour over chocolate chips. Allow to sit for a minute, then remove orange peel, and add orange whipped vodka. Stir to combine the pour into a pie plate. Refrigerate for 2 hours, then using a melon baller or two spoons, scoop and roll into balls. (You will need to work quickly, as the heat from your hands will melt the chocolate). Place back in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Place powdered sugar in one bowl and cocoa powder in a separate bowl. Roll truffles through cocoa or powdered sugar. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
