Pumpkin Pie Bourbon Ice cream - like the boozy orange ice cream we made early this year; this is a simple, easy recipe to do without an ice cream maker!
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 Tablespoons pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 ounces bourbon (I used one of my favorites; Basil Hayden's)
In a deep mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk, then add the pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and bourbon. Mix all ingredients together, then pour into a a container and freeze for at least four hours. The bourbon can be omitted, but it helps the ice cream from getting too hard; as it will not freeze.
