Our second segment in the, "How-To" series is how to make sausage gravy; perfect for your weekend, "biscuits and gravy" breakfast/brunch!
AIMEE'S EASY SAUSAGE GRAVY
1 roll of sausage (16 ounce package, any flavor)
4 Tablespoons flour
2 to 3 cups of milk (depending on how thick/then you want your gravy. I use about 2 1/2 cups of milk)
Black pepper to taste (you really don't need to add salt because there is plenty in the sausage!)
Crumble sausage in a medium sized saucepan, and cook sausage. Drain most of the grease, but reserve about 1 Tablespoon for the gravy. Sprinkle the flour on top of the grease, and whisk constantly. Add the milk and cook until thickened, adding pepper to taste.
