FUDGE FILLED BARS

A friendship brings sweetness like nothing else in life!  Another great bonus from life-long friends is when they share favorite treats with you!  This recipe is from my dear, "old" friend, Emily West.  

  • 2 rolls of cookie dough (sugar or chocolate chip)
  • 1 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 Tablespoons of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 package of semisweet chocolate chips

Preview oven to 350.  Press 1 ½ rolls of cookie dough into  9 x 13 inch pan.  Melt chips, milk and butter.  Remove from heat and add vanilla.  Let cool for 15 minutes.  Pour over cookie dough.  Crumble remaining cookie dough over top.  Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.  Allow to cool completely before cutting. (Unless, as Emily says, “you like them hot and mushy with ice cream!)
