When we were little kids, my brother, Ken, and I would go visit our Grandparents every summer. Each and every time we would walk in the door, my Grandmother had that orange container that held her precious M&M cookies. I’m thrilled to share this recipe with you!
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 ¼ cups self rising flour, sifted
- 1 ½ cups M&Ms (plain)
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients gradually to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in M&Ms and drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
