When you are craving ice cream but you are also trying to be healthy, this is the perfect dessert to make. I always keep bananas in the freezer for thickening protein drinks, smoothies and desserts like this:


  • 3 to 4 bananas (frozen)
  • strawberries
  • chocolate chips

Place bananas in the freezer for at least a couple of hours.  Remove from freezer and note that the bananas will be darker in color, but this is totally fine!  Remove peel from banana, place in food processor (or blender) and pulse.  Serve with any fruit of your choice and chocolate chips, if desired for a healthy treat that tastes like you are eating ice cream, but no added milk or sugar!
