I created this cocktail in honor of my dear friend, Stephanie Hasbrouck who is moving to Texas. You can easily substitute your name and enjoy it when you need to relax and unwind with something smooth and refreshing.

Watch Aimee create this easy, delicious cocktail!

Makes 1 cocktail

  • 1 shot bourbon (I used Basil Hayden's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey)
  • 1 shot elderflower liquor
  • juice from half of a large lime (about 1 Tablespoon lime juice)
  • lime peel for garnish
  • ice
  • club soda (if desired)

Use a vegetable peeler to peel the lime peel. You only want the green part; so just start at the top and peel all the way down, or even sideways. Use the same lime for the lime juice, needed. Place ice in a cocktail glass, then pour a shot of bourbon and a shot of elderflower over the ice. Squeeze the lime juice into your drink, then stir with a cocktail stirrer (or spoon). Top with club soda, if desired and garnish with lime peel.
